SHUMATE FUNERAL HOME ACCEPTED AS A MEMBER OF
THE INTERNATIONAL ORDER OF THE GOLDEN RULE

AUSTIN, TEXAS—MARCH 6, 2018—Shumate Funeral Home of Middlesboro, KY has been accepted in the International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR), a professional association of independently owned and operated Golden Rule funeral homes. These premier funeral homes adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards, ensuring that members provide dignified, caring service at fair and reasonable prices. In order to retain its membership, Shumate Funeral Home must consistently demonstrate its dedication to providing quality funeral service to its client families.

“Although ours is a worldwide organization, all members must adhere to the association’s standards of conduct that guide their business practices,” said Mark Allen, OGR Executive Director/CEO. “Before qualification into the association, Shumate Funeral Home was subjected to a highly selective process that included gathering comments from members of their community. We are pleased that Shumate Funeral Home has met the stringent requirements and has earned many recommendations from the Middlesboro area.”

Shumate Funeral Home has proudly served the Middlesboro area for 128 years. For more information, contact Shumate Funeral Home at (606) 248-1234.

Founded in 1928, OGR is affiliated with independent funeral homes that share common goals of exemplary service, uncompromising care and compassion to families in their time of need. As a member of OGR, Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, has pledged to adhere to the association’s long-standing credo: “Service measured not by gold, but by the Golden Rule.”
