BOONE FAMILY FUNERAL HOME RECEIVES OGR EXEMPLARY SERVICE AWARD

AUSTIN, TEXAS, APRIL 29, 2015 – The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) presented the Exemplary Service Award to Boone Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in West Jefferson, North Carolina at OGR’s 2015 Annual Conference and Supplier Showcase at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL on April 25. OGR’s Exemplary Service Award recognizes member firms for the outstanding customer service they provided to families during their time of loss.

Exemplary Service awards recognize professional excellence as demonstrated through comments from client families served who respond to surveys distributed by OGR’s Family Contact Program. One family Plummer Funeral Home helped shared the following:

“I worked with Boone personally and could not imagine a more attentive, sensitive, caring group of people to deal with after my father’s death. Boone graciously welcomed my youngest brother with special needs to come after the service to visit and see where Dad had gone to the night he died. We arrived unannounced, but they readily gave us the opportunity to explain and share with him the process that my sister, brother and I went through in choosing a casket. They suggested and led us to the chapel where the visitation took place. We explained and discussed the evening’s events with my brother. It was very therapeutic for all of us. This is beyond ‘superior’ service. It is compassion and really exemplifies the Golden Rule.”

“The service that Boone Family Funeral Home provided is just one example of why they received an Exemplary Service Award. We are proud that our member firms practice the basis on which we were founded; The Golden Rule,” said outgoing OGR President Bud Weting.
