OGR Invitationals give members the opportunity to share their personal interests with other members and guests by sponsoring an activity of their choice and inviting other members to participate. Activities can range anywhere from golfing to site seeing to wilderness hiking. Submit your own ideas to host an Invitational!

INVITATIONAL TO ITALY REPLACES SPECIAL PURPOSE SYMPOSIUM FOR 2009

Please join Marsha and Guy Linnemann, Linnemann Funeral Homes, as they host a “week in Tuscany” February 21-28, 2009.  This week in the Italian countryside will include education, relaxation and entertainment designed to leave you relaxed, well-informed and refreshed. This invitational is offered instead of a Special Purpose Symposium for 2009.

The per person fee of $850 includes seven nights accommodation in the lovely Villa Il Melone; a welcome dinner and tour and lunch in Florence. In addition, the program meets OGR membership exclusivity requirements and will offer up to 3.0 CEUs where approved.  Optional tours include cooking class, Assisi, pottery making in Deruta and winery tours.

In addition, a pre-trip from February 17-21 will take place.  The pre-trip includes a two-night stay in Rome with a full-day tour of Rome including the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica, two-night stay in Sorrento, Amalfi Coast drive and tour of Pompeii.  Transfers from the airport, to the villa and breakfasts are included.  Cost per person is $1,149.

A post-trip to Venice February 28-March 2 is also planned.  This trip includes a three-night stay in Venice and walking tour of the city.  Airport transfer and breakfasts are included but the train ride from the villa to Venice is not included.  The cost is $449 per person.

6th Annual Pheasant Hunt - November 14-18, 2008- Tulare, South Dakota – SOLD OUT

OGR's 6th Annual Pheasant Hunt in So. Dakota, hosted by Kevin Opsahl, Kostel Funeral Home, Yankton, South Dakota, will be held November 14-18, 2008 at the Medicine Creek Lodge LLC in Tulare, SD. The registration fee includes three days of guided wild game pheasant hunting, four nights' lodging and groceries for daily meal preparation. Hunters are responsible for their own transportation. It is recommended flying into Aberdeen Regional Airport in Aberdeen, SD. The lodge is 60 miles from the airport.

Registration opened to previous Pheasant Hunt Invitational hunters on March 24.  Space is limited to 13 people and is currently sold out.
