Golden Rule funeral homes designate October as
National Family Appreciation Month

An annual awareness program sponsored by the International Order of the Golden Rule and its member Golden Rule funeral homes.

Each October, family owned Golden Rule funeral homes across the U.S. and Canada join forces to celebrate National Family Appreciation Month (NFAM), bringng the message of "family appreciation" to their communities.

Sponsored by the International Order of the Golden Rule, a professional association of local, family owned Golden Rule funeral homes, NFAM confirms a commitment to families, aims to enlighten communities and young people about the funeral profession, and in the process, bring families closer through awarenss initiataives conducted in the month of October, including a student writing contest for high school seniors.

With a keen understanding of the needs of the bereaved, and the vital role family plays in dealing with death, this life-affirming program serves as a reminder to show appreciation to those who mean the most to us.

The NFAM Challenge
Please join us during National Family Appreciation Month - and every month - by reaching out to family members. Take steps to mend fences. Start a new family tradition. Say "I love you." Or offer a hug as you make "family appreciation" your highest priority.
