Workshop: Comparing GPLs to Create Better Services for Families – facilitated by Darrell Simpson, Graystone Associates, Inc.
Monday, February 26, 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. - eligible for 1 CE hour in states where approved

Many families find General Price Lists (GPLs) to be confusing to navigate because of how they’re structured. Bring your funeral home's GPL* and discuss ways to structure it and funeral home packages so families will have a clearer understanding of your firm offers.  Examine the following questions:

  • What does the Federal Trade Commission require GPLs to include?
  • How do other funeral homes structure their GPLs? What kinds of packages do they offer? What can we learn from them?
  • How do families interpret the language used on the GPL?
  • How can you make yours easier to follow so families can make educated decisions for pre-need and at-need planning?

*Please note: all price lists must be submitted to OGR beforehand. Dollar amounts will be redacted in order to comply with FTC regulations.
