RICHARD O’HARA INSTALLED AS OGR DIRECTOR

AUSTIN, TEXAS, APRIL 29, 2015 AUSTIN, TX–The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR), the world’s leading professional association dedicated to making independent funeral homes exceptional, installed Richard O’Hara, Chief Operating Officer/Co-owner, McAvoy O’Hara Company-Evergreen Mortuary, San Francisco, CA as a member of the board of directors for 2015-2017. He was sworn in during the OGR 2015 Annual Conference and Supplier Showcase at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL on April 25.

As a Graduate of California College of Mortuary Science, Los Angeles, CA University of San Francisco, S.F., CA Business Administration, Richard is continuing a 164-year old tradition of service and helping successfully navigate his funeral home through a dramatically changing demographic base. "I want to contribute my time and energy to OGR because it has helped me grow as a professional and to better serve my community,” says O’Hara.

As a Funeral Director of 41 years and as a co-owner of a mortuary, he has developed the management and interpersonal skills needed to run an effective organization. Richard is also the Past president of the Northern California Regional SIDS State Advisory Council. Richard is married to Annie and has two children, Elizabeth and Rosanne.
