OGR Installs New Board of Directors
Jamie L. Wieting of Wisconsin to serve as association's 2024-2025 President

The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR), the world's leading professional association dedicated to making independent funeral homes exceptional, is pleased to announce the installation of Jamie L. Wieting as the new president of the organization. Wieting is the owner of Wieting Family Funeral Home in Chilton, Wisconsin. 

Jamie L. Wieting is a licensed educator in the State of Wisconsin and manages the day-to-day operations of Wieting Family Funeral Home. She is a graduate of Chilton High School, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Jamie graduated from St. Petersburg College with a degree in Mortuary Science and became a Wisconsin Licensed Funeral Director in June of 2018. She works alongside her husband Daniel to serve the families by being compassionate professionals, with integrity, dignity, and distinction. 

After being installed as president on May 8 at the OGR Annual Conference in Savannah, Ga., Wieting thanked OGR members for their engagement in the association. 

"Although we all have busy lives, you have made a point to get involved with OGR in some manner, shape or form. Being involved and hearing your voices is what makes OGR strong and successful," said Wieting. "Over the next year and years to come I will strive to be the best that I can be for OGR through my dedication, commitment and loyalty."

As part of this transition, Chris Miller, Thomas Miller Mortuary & Crematory (Corona, CA), assumed the role of Past President. Kim Hunter, Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles-Newbigging Chapel Limited (Toronto, Ontario), was installed as President-Elect. Peter Urban Jr., Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, Inc. (Ambler, PA) was installed as Secretary/Treasurer. 

The ceremony also included the re-installation of board members S. Chase Lewis, Lewis Funeral Homes & Crematory (Pace, FL), and Larnique Mickens, Heritage Mortuary, Inc (Las Vegas, NV). 

The board also welcomed Adam Guthrie, Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (Franklin, PA) and Justin Zabor, The Zabor Funeral Home, Inc. (Parma, OH) for their first term on the OGR board.
