AHLGRIM FUNERAL HOME RECEIVES OGR EXEMPLARY SERVICE AWARD

AUSTIN, TEXAS, MAY 10, 2016 – The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) presented the Exemplary Service Award to Ahlgrim Funeral Home in Elmhurst, Illinois  at OGR’s 2016 Annual Conference and Supplier Showcase  in Las Vegas, NV on April 28. OGR’s Exemplary Service Award recognizes member firms for the outstanding customer service they provided to families during their time of loss.

Exemplary Service awards recognize professional excellence as demonstrated through comments from client families served who respond to surveys distributed by OGR’s Family Contact Program. One family Plummer Funeral Home helped shared the following:

“Ahlgrim’s staff are kind, caring, sympathetic and very professional. I was so glad that Scott Ahlgrim asked me if I wanted the U.S. Army at the service to perform the flag-folding ceremony and play Taps. I might not have asked for that. My father was President of Metro Paramedics, a Division of Superior Ambulance, so Ahlgrim coordinated the parking of two draped ambulances at the entrance. He was also a retired Fire Chief, so Ahlgrim smoothly coordinated the additional people who served as Honor Guards and coordinated the walk through ceremony of more than fifty Fire Chiefs and firemen. There was a whole lot going on that day, but it all went very smoothly, thanks to Ahlgrim’s.”
