OGR ANNOUNCES NEW FAMILY CONTACT PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR INDEPENDENT FUNERAL HOMES

June 30, 2015– Austin, TX – The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) has been gearing up for the launch of its new Family Contact Program for over a year and the wait is now over. The program was developed from extensive research and analysis that includes specifically surveying their membership in order to discover how family feedback can continue to help independent funeral homes stay ahead of the challenges they face.

Executive Director of OGR Mark Allen says, “OGR’s Family Contact Program is specially designed to cater to the needs of independent funeral homes. This free member benefit is the best way to maintain the quality of your independent business. Along with updated resources and product suggestions, the Family Contact Program makes keeping in tune with families easier than ever.”

OGR was one of the first funeral home membership associations to invest in a family feedback program in the 1950s and has continued to research ways to promote open communication between families and funeral service professionals. To answer modern needs, some of the new features of the program include an online survey option and a Facebook share feature for online comments from families.
